By booking a lesson, gear rental, membership, or any other service with Puclaro Kitesurfing — whether through WhatsApp, this website, or in person — you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.
1. Nature of the sport and assumed risk
Kitesurfing is a risk water sport involving wind, water, traction equipment, and variable natural conditions. By taking part in any lesson, clinic, or activity with Puclaro Kitesurfing, you acknowledge and accept that there are inherent risks to this practice — including falls, impacts, drowning, and injury — that neither the school nor its instructors can eliminate entirely, although we are committed to minimizing them through IKO-certified instruction, well-maintained equipment, and active supervision. You take part voluntarily and at your own risk, without prejudice to the diligence and safety standards the school maintains at all times.
2. Age and physical requirements
Regular lessons require a minimum age of 13 and a minimum weight of 45 kg (99 lb), for safety reasons related to handling the equipment. Puclaro Kitesurfing does not currently offer a program for children under 13.
3. Minors
Students under 18 must have the express authorization of a parent or legal guardian to take part, and that parent or guardian must be available or reachable throughout the activity.
4. Bookings, deposit, and cancellation
Bookings are coordinated directly via WhatsApp or another of the school’s contact channels. To confirm a booking, a deposit equal to 1 hour of class is required; the remaining balance for all scheduled hours is paid in full on the first day, before the activity begins. In case of cancellation by the student, 100% of the amount paid will be refunded if cancelled 3 or more days in advance, 80% if cancelled less than 3 days in advance, and no refund will be issued for same-day cancellations or no-shows. If the student arrives late, the full booked block will still be charged regardless of the actual lesson duration. Puclaro Kitesurfing reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a lesson due to unsafe wind or weather conditions, or at the instructor’s or school’s discretion for safety reasons; in those cases, 100% of the amount paid will be refunded, at no cost to the student.
5. Rented equipment: care and custody
If you rent equipment (kite, board, harness, wetsuit, or other gear), you agree to use it properly and return it in the same condition you received it, beyond normal wear from use. Any damage caused by misuse, negligence, or use outside what was agreed may be charged based on the actual cost of repair or replacement.
6. Right to refuse unsafe equipment
If you bring your own equipment, Puclaro Kitesurfing reserves the right to refuse its use in supervised lessons or activities if, in the instructor’s judgment, the equipment is in an unsafe condition (damaged lines, a non-functioning safety system, insufficient buoyancy, etc.), always prioritizing your safety.
7. Use of image
During lessons and activities, Puclaro Kitesurfing may take photos or videos for promotional purposes (social media, website, marketing materials). If you’d rather not appear in this kind of material, let us know before your lesson starts and we will honor your request.
8. Cancellation or suspension of service by the school
Puclaro Kitesurfing may suspend or end a lesson or activity already in progress if the student fails to follow the instructor’s safety instructions, endangers their own safety or that of others, or seriously breaches these terms, with no right to a refund in those cases.
9. Acceptance of these terms
By confirming a booking — including via a WhatsApp message — you state that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms and conditions, even without a physical signature. This tacit acceptance also applies to Puclaro Club+ membership plans.
10. Changes to these terms
Puclaro Kitesurfing may update these terms at any time; the version published on this page is always the current one.
